Perma-Pipe International Holdings Inc. has been awarded $10 million’s worth of new contracts in Saudi Arabia, most of which will be delivered in the third quarter.
The contracts, involving Perma-Pipe’s fabrication and coating capabilities, will aid in the infrastructure development projects of Riyadh, Madinah and Mekkah in Saudi Arabia.
Perma-Pipe’s XTRU-THERM insulation system, a spray-applied polyurethane foam jacketed with a high-density polyethylene casing, will also be employed in the projects.
Some of the projects will go towards the development of a new facility in Madinah. The facility’s operations are planned to begin in August.
“The new expansion in Madinah has long been on our radar,” Saleh Sagr, senior vice president for Perma-Pipe’s MENA region, said in Perma-Pipe’s press release. “It is a clear statement of our commitment to support the local industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
The investment in Madinah supports Perma-Pipe’s growth plans and Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision,
David Mansfield, Perma-Pipe’s president and CEO, added.
